Help in your area and get involved with Field Day. Check out the ARRL site for more information. It is a lot of fun and gives everyone practice.

   Also help the net and take some traffic for your area when it is listed. Create a message or two and list it on the net.. It is good practice and if you are asked to do it in an emergency you know how and can do it promptly. Don't be afraid as you won't get eaten alive and people are glad to help.
